Please Don't Miss

Please Don't Miss is a little game that got submitted during the "Mini Jam 201: Support" game jam, with its theme being "Only one shot".

In this game, you play as a character who goes out into the world to fight some monsters. Not being very well prepared, you only brought one arrow with you. But this won't be a problem for someone like you, for sure! Survive as many waves as possible - currently, there are a total of 10 waves available. During your playthrough, you may pick up some feather drops. Those features represent the currency in the game and can be spent in the upgrade terminal.

The controls are rather straightforward. You move with WASD, sprint with Shift, and dash with Space. Note that sprinting and dashing will drain your stamina. Once your stamina is depleted, it will take a few seconds for it to fully refill and be usable again. Everyone needs to catch their breath sometimes. In case you need some healing, you can do so by pressing Q. However, this action will cost 200 feathers. Feathers can otherwise be spent on upgrades. Those upgrades can be accessed with E. And the most important action - shooting the arrow works by pressing the left mouse button.

If you get stuck (and maybe a bit frustrated), there might be alternative ways to beat the game. Think about methods that existed in older games. That said, winning the game legitimately is definitely more fun ;)

20hrs afterwards: Adjusted hitboxes and made it clearer where the world border is located. Fixed a typo in the tutorial. Fixed bug where the user could trigger the main menu arrow multiple times.
